Daily Life and Responsibilities
As a cultural liaison, you’ll be a key mentor within a rehabilitation and social service environment. Your responsibilities include mentorship, supporting addiction and recovery programs, and promoting cultural understanding among diverse groups.
You’ll interact with various groups such as Indigenous communities, people with mental health or learning disabilities, and culturally diverse populations. Program planning targeting First Nations and related education topics are central to your daily activities.
The job requires active participation in community initiatives and facilitating access to Elders for guidance. Strong oral communication and an ability to build and maintain relationships are essential.
Requirements include two years of relevant work experience, completion of security checks, and the ability to travel independently. No formal degree is necessary, but experience counts heavily.
